Smart (Phone) Flying: Flying Takes On New Forms With Jet Smarter

Jet chartering from your smart phone is now easier with Jet Smarter, the app (for iOS or Android) that connects aircraft operators with fliers in real time. Founder Sergey Petrossov designed the app to give flyers access to the largest private jet marketplace in the world right from their mobile device. “Our application democratizes the private jet market by decreasing the entry price for consumers and helping air carriers gain more market exposure,” explains Petrossov. “Such transparency allows us to build a highly engaged audience of influential users who trust us to get the best deals when flying private.”

The dynamic app availability allow customers to book flights at wholesale price, and for extra insider perks, they even offer FREE empty leg flights. Petrossov also explains, “The average broker charges anywhere between 7%-40% per private jet charter, while almost 30% of all private jet flights go empty. This doesn’t make a lot of sense. Our Members save on average 15%-25% on each private jet charter.” An empty leg flight is a plane that is flying empty to reposition or return for an already booked (chartered) trip. According to the company, although aircraft operators try to accommodate schedules to avoid inefficiency, a whopping 30% of all private aircraft fly empty, creating substantial inventory of empty leg flights. When booking a jet online, the app provides detailed info on the plane along with images to attest the model and its quality.

The app is free to download and joining is just as easy as chartering a plane, by simply entering your name, e-mail address and phone number. Jet Smarter loyals receive a gold- plated members card, exclusive concierge service, and access to exclusive events, among other modish perks.
